Find answers to common questions about our services, safety requirements, booking process, and more.
What level of experience do I need to enroll in a stunt course?

Each course’s required experience is clearly stated in its description. Check the course page to find which level suits your background.

Do you offer both in-person and online stunt courses?

Yes! We provide both in-person workshops and fully online courses. Visit our “All Courses” page to see every option.

How do I know which course is right for me?

Start with our free “Intro to the Stunt Industry: Is This Career Right for You?” course. From there, we recommend the Action Extra Workshop (online) followed by the beginner FFC workshop to build a solid foundation.

What safety measures are in place during online training?

Please review our full Safety Disclaimer on the website. It covers warm-ups, equipment checks, and step-by-step progression to keep you safe.

Do I need to provide my own safety gear, or is it supplied?

You’ll need to bring your own basic gear. However, we always have extra equipment available during specialized in-person workshops.

How long does each online course typically take to complete?

Online courses are self-paced. You can progress through lessons as quickly or as slowly as you need.

Are there age restrictions to join a stunt course?

Online courses: Minimum age 16

In-person workshops: Minimum age 12

How do assessments and certifications work?

Visit the “Course with Assessment” preview chapters to learn more. In short, you complete video submissions and instructor feedback loops, and once you pass, you earn official certification.

Can I join online courses from anywhere in the world?

Absolutely. Our online platform makes it easy to train with NZSS from any location.

What equipment or space do I need for online training?

For beginner courses, no specialized stunt equipment is required. You can practice at home, in a gym, or in a martial-arts studio—just ensure you have enough clear, padded space.

How much do your stunt courses cost, and are there payment plans?

All course fees are listed on our “All Courses” page. If you’d like a payment plan, select your course and follow the payment prompts during checkout.

What happens if I get injured or feel discomfort during training?

Stop immediately and consult a medical professional. Then let us know about the incident so we can review and update our safety protocols. (Refer to our Safety Disclaimer for full details.)

Do you offer any beginner-level workshops or action extra courses?

Yes. Our “Action Extra” workshop is the first step. After you complete that, the FFC workshop is the next entry-level course to advance your skills.

How can I progress from an entry-level course to advanced training?

Once you complete FFC, you’ll be invited to join specialized workshops—both in-person and online—and to attend our monthly training sessions.

Will I receive feedback from instructors on my performance?

Yes. Courses that include assessments come with personalized instructor feedback so you know exactly where to improve.

Can international students attend in-person workshops?

Yes. If you’ve completed FFC or other online modules, you can join any in-person specialized workshop in Auckland or Wellington.

How do I register and secure a spot in a course?

Simply select the course you want on our website, complete the checkout process, and you’re booked!

Do you offer private tuition or one-on-one coaching?

Yes. We offer both online and in-person private coaching for specialized skills, audition preparation, or advanced assessments.

What is the refund or cancellation policy for paid courses?

Online courses: No refunds. Please review course content and previews carefully before purchasing.

In-person workshops: Deposits are non-refundable unless NZSS cancels the course.

How does NZAT agency submission work after completing a stunt course?

After you finish FFC, you’ll be invited to join NZAT. Visit the NZAT website to complete your profile and learn how to submit for roles.
