Professional Standards, Personal Responsibility
The NZ Stunt School (NZSS) provides courses developed and delivered by professional, industry-active stunt performers and coordinators. Our team is committed to delivering a training experience that is:
- Safe
- Progressive
- Authentic to screen industry standards
While the curriculum is designed with care and based on proven practices, all physical training—especially when done online or unsupervised—involves risk. Your success and safety depend on how responsibly you follow the guidance.
Your Responsibilities as a Participant
- Whether training in person or online, by participating in this course you agree to:
- Train at your own risk and take full responsibility for your physical wellbeing.
- Follow warm-up, safety, and technique instructions precisely.
- Train in a clear, obstacle-free environment with appropriate flooring and lighting.
- Wear fitted, movement-appropriate clothing (no jewelry or accessories).
- Use safe, maintained equipment as demonstrated (mats, sticks, etc.).
- Stop training immediately if you experience any pain, dizziness, or discomfort.
Consult a medical professional before participating if you have any health concerns or prior injuries.
For Online Learners and Solo Practitioners
- You must be 16 years or older and cleared for physical activity.
- Do not skip warm-ups, breakdowns, or progressions.
- Training without direct supervision increases risk—you accept that responsibility.
- Only proceed when you understand and can safely apply what’s shown.
This course is professionally structured for safety, but your training space and execution are not controlled by NZSS. You are fully accountable for how, when, and where you train.
Legal Waiver of Liability
By enrolling in and participating in any NZSS program (in-person or online), you agree that:
- You are voluntarily participating in physical stunt training at your own risk.
- You waive all claims against NZSS, its instructors, and affiliates for any injury, damage, or loss incurred during or after training.
NZSS is not liable for:
- Injuries caused by improper technique
- Unsafe environments or unsuitable gear
- Skipped lessons or altered exercises
- Ignoring safety instructions or pushing beyond your limits
External Video Content – For Demonstration Only
This course may include video clips sourced from external partners, performers, or licensed content libraries. These materials are provided with permission and serve only as visual demonstrations to show what certain skills look like in action.
⚠️ These videos are not part of the structured training curriculum.
You must not:
- Attempt to replicate or train based solely on these videos
- Use them as substitutes for the NZSS instructional content
These clips are intended to inspire, not instruct. Your actual training must follow NZSS demonstrations, safety protocols, and practice drills.
