NZ Action Talent (NZAT) is a New Zealand talent agency representing talent across all levels of screen production — from background extras, stand-ins, and body doubles through to action performers, skilled athletes, and stunt performers working alongside professional stunt teams on set.
We work across film, TV, and commercial production in New Zealand and place talent with both local and international productions shooting here.
Whether you're looking for your first on-set experience as a background extra, or you're a skilled athlete or trained stunt performer ready for action work — we represent you.
STEP 1 - CREATE YOUR NZAT PROFILE ON HEYCAST
Go to Heycast and complete all required details. If you already have a HeyCast account, link it to NZ Action Talent in the About section. Make sure your deails, photos, measurements, skills, and experience are accurate and up to date. Issues? Email [email protected]
STEP 2- PROFILE REVIEW & APPROVAL
Your profile will be reviewed by an NZAT agent. To be considered your profile must include:
- Headshot and full body photos
- Accurate details and measurements
- Experience and training
- Showreel or performance clip (where applicable)
STEP 3 - TALENT AGREEMENT REVIEW & SIGNING
If pre-approved you will receive the NZAT representation agreement outlining all terms. This must be reviewed and signed before moving to the next step.
STEP 4 - JOINING FEE & PROFILE ACTIVATION
Once your agreement is signed and the one-off joining fee is paid, your profile will be activated and ready for submissions.
Exclusivity:
You can choose to sign with us for Full Representation, Stunt Only, or Everything Except Acting (including Commercials).
Joining fee:
- $50 one-off fee
- Free for national or champion level athletes/Skilled Performers
- Free for under 18s
Commission:
- Commercials & TVC: 20%
- Film & TV productions: 18%
- Skilled Performers & Special Ability (Standard Commission)
Roles requiring a specialist physical skill (gymnastics, surfing, climbing, motorsport etc) are represented under standard agency commission, regardless of whether the performer is used in a stunt capacity.
- Stunt work: $50 Stunt Recommendation Fee — no commission
Applies to roles requiring formal stunt training, recommended through our stunt listing. No commission. You're free to source stunt jobs yourself.
